ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Tara!
I currently am a Project Solutions Engineer at Cognex. I work closely with clients in the Logistics space to develop customized solutions that meet their unique needs. With a deep understanding of Cognex's industry-leading machine vision technology, I help clients identify areas where automation can improve efficiency and productivity.
I am passionate about using technology to drive innovation and growth, and am constantly seeking out new ways to push the boundaries of what's possible. I pride myself on being a collaborative and proactive partner to my clients, and am always focused on delivering exceptional service and value.
I have always been interested in how things work.

At Colgate
I was lucky enough to spend four amazing years in Hamilton, New York and graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Colgate University.

I played 4 years of Division I Lacrosse, earning Second Team All-Patriot League and All-Tournament Honors. I also made the Raider Academic Honor Roll for 3 consecutive seasons. Lacrosse has taught me to work well in high pressure situations, be unselfish, and be a great teammate.
I am passionate about sustainability, design, and creating a more efficient world.
At Columbia
In February 2021, I received my Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Robotics and Control. When arriving at Columbia I immersed myself in leadership and design. I became the Career Chair for the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Association (MEGA), I am working my way to becoming a Superuser in the Columbia Makerspace and am participating in the Safer Medical Care Design Challenge to create a better way to deliver medical care post COVID-19.
In the Fall of 2020, I completed a Master's Thesis on the Parameterization of Pregnancy in the Myers Soft Tissue Lab.

I thrive in fast-paced, challenging environments.
